In the process of making these suitcases the ladies over at Away interviewed around 800 frequent fliers to find out what functions and features truly matter to them the most. The Medium is the suitcase that’s been all over social media and it’s perfect for oversea trips and weekend getaways. So what’s so special about this bag?

For starters, it’s super light. When empty, it weighs in around 8 and a half pounds. It’s polycarbonate exterior makes it durable and impact-resistant. And unlike a lot of suitcases it has a full 360-degree turning radius that actually works and is super quiet. It has a detachable zipper compartment meant for dirty clothes. So when it comes time to unpack, simply take out the zipper pouch and head straight for the laundry room. Since we all tend to over pack (something I can’t help, even when trying) no need to fret. Away has a patent-pending compression system so there’s absolutely no need to sit on your suitcase to make it close (something I’m all too guilty of). Just buckle your belongings in with the adjustable straps and zip the suitcase shut (sounds magical!). Other features of these bags include TSA approved locks, water resistant zippers, silk interior linings, and top and side handles. Just when you thought it couldn’t get better they even include a built in battery (10,000 mAh) and two USB ports on the exterior of the bag to keep your technology fueled on those long unexpected delays or layovers.
