Meet the Girlfriend Collective, an athleisure brand that’s based in Seattle, Washington. The husband and wife duo that’s behind this brand puts an emphasis on the production of minimal, luxurious, and eco-friendly active-wear. Their clothes are made in their SA8000 certified factory that protects their workers with fair, above-average wages, safe working conditions, and no forced child labor. Also, from the production of their materials to the disposal of the dyes nothing goes to waste or ends up damaging the environment.
Their mission is to, “create the highest quality of product in the most ecologically and socially sustainable way for women who care.” To help further perpetuate their mission, they recruited designers from Acne Studios and Lululemon ensuring their styles would be an intersection between “cool girl” and performance.
