Direction and Video by Chris Shintani, Hair and Makeup by Gina Caraballo

Something I miss dearly about living in California is going on road trips. So when I went back a couple months ago my good friend Shintani and I decided to go to the desert to create something. We didn’t have a specific location, art direction or designated styling in mind. We just drove for a couple hours in a general direction, got to the desert and scouted locations ourselves. This type of spontaneity is always fun and is so hard to do in New York City. Above you’ll find a few stills but you can view the full video here.

カリフォニアに住んでいた時によく行っていた「車旅行」がとても懐かしく感じる事があります。数か月前に久しぶりに戻った時にも、とても仲の良い友達のShintaniさんと砂漠に行きました。特に前もって何処に行くなど決めず、ただ単に何か「物創り」がしたくて、良い場所を探して数時間ドライブし、やっと探し求めていた場所を見つけました。ニューヨークに住んでいるとなかなかできないですが、こういった無理のない自然な行動はとても楽しいです。画像はその時にとった物です。動画はこちらから。
